Trump Frustrated With Fauci Due To Criticism Over Slow Virus Response

Trump frustrated with Fauci

Trump had a critical attitude toward Dr. Fauci over on Twitter. Doctor Anthony S. Fauci, the federal government’s top infectious disease expert, claimed an earlier country lockdown would have saved a lot more human lives. Fauci’s comment made Trump frustrated with the doctor.

Trump publicly signaled his frustration toward Fauci on Sunday. The President retweeted what a former Republican congressional candidate posted. The message said “Time to #FireFauci”. He rejected criticism of the slow initial response to the global pandemic that has taken the lives of over 22.000 people on United States soil so far. Trump has been irritated with Fauci in the past but this message is the most explicit.

“Fauci is now saying that had Trump listened to the medical experts earlier, he could’ve saved more lives,”. Was the message DeAnna Lorraine posted on Twitter. The tweet goes on to read “Fauci was telling people on February 29th that there was nothing to worry about and it posed no threat to the US at large. Time to #Fire Fauci.”. DeAnna Lorraine was a Republican candidate who lost an open primary to Nancy Pelosi. She gained less than 2 percent of the vote.

When reposting the message, Trump added: “Sorry Fake News, it’s all on tape. I banned China long before people spoke up.”. This message is just one defense message put forth by the message, as he responded to criticism from multiple organizations and people. He blamed President Barrack Obama, China, WHO, different governors, news media, Democrats and Congress.

According to New York Times, Mr. Trump did not “ban China,” but he blocked several people: non-American citizens and American citizens who had been in China in the past 14 days starting on February 2.

40,000 Americans and other authorized travelers still arrived from China since Trump gave that order.

“I mean, obviously, you could logically say that if you had a process that was ongoing and you started mitigation earlier, you could have saved lives,” Fauci said on “State of the Union” on CNN. He added that there was a lot of pushback about shutting the country down earlier, making Trump frustrated with Fauci.

The situation in America right now is that some experts such as Fauci advise about being careful when reopening the country too early, fearing another wave would happen. Meanwhile, Trump is thinking about how fast to begin reopening the country.
