After 3 nights of hospitalization and intense treatment at the Walter Reed Hospital, near Washington, Donald Trump came back to the White House. The President of the United States was brought by helicopter on the South Lawn at the White House.
As soon as he reached the Truman Balcony of the White House residence, he took off his mask, greeted, and promised to resume his election campaign soon.
Has the pressident fully recovered?
The international press reports that the president left the medical center because he wanted to. But Trump and his doctors reported that the decision was largely political-with just 29 days before the election.
Donald Trump will continue his treatment at his own residence because he is not yet recovered, according to the doctors. He has a more severe form of Covid. He was given oxygen and he received strong anti-Covid drugs, as well as an aggressive steroid. Trump and some of his campaign staff, as well as others, reportedly fell ill on 26th September at The Supreme Court nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett. This event was attended by about 200 people.
His controversial message on Twitter
Everyone knows that Donald Trump has always been skeptical about this powerful virus. Even after he became ill, he did not change his mind. Before leaving the hospital he wrote on Twitter: “Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life. I feel better than I did 20 years ago.”
Joe Biden’s reaction
When Joe Biden, his opponent, saw his message on the social network, he reacted angrily. He was mad because the president still does not take the virus seriously after all that has happened: “I saw a message he wrote on Twitter. Let him go and tell that to the 205,000 families who have lost someone,” the former US vice-president told a Florida television station.
Being on the fifth day of illness, Donald Trump still remains contagious, experts say. That being said, Trump’s return to the White House could endanger employees at the residence.
