You have to admit: you grew up with cartoons. By the way, have you ever remembered a cartoon from your childhood, only to realize you forgot its name? Well, we`re here to help. We know how much they mean (or meant) in your life, and maybe you want to watch something else apart from Netflix series, so here are the top 5 cartoons that made our childhood!
If you haven`t heard of these two characters, clearly you haven`t lived on this planet so far. Let`s be honest. Everyone knows the story of a mouse running from a cat, with the pretty little animal winning almost every time. Created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the series centers on a love-hate relationship between a cat (Tom) and a mouse (Jerry). Actually, there is an interesting fact: these characters weren`t called as we know them now from the beginning. In their first appearance, the cat`s name was Jasper, and the funny mouse was called Jinx.
2. Adventure Time
This series was very popular when it was released, ten years ago. Based on a 2007 short movie, the cartoon follows the adventures of a boy (Finn) and his best friend and adoptive brother (Jake). You`d think Jake is a boy as well, but we`re actually talking about a dog with the power to change shape and size. “Adventure Time” drew inspiration from a variety of sources, including the fantasy game “Dungeons & Dragons”.
Scooby-Doo is the story about a “detective” dog which is solving a lot of crazy cases with his team. At the end of the episode, the “mythic” of the show is explained by special effects and suits. After all, everyone knows his specific cry “Scooby-dooby-doo”, which is usually associated with the cartoon. For his “bravery”, the directors, its big fans, created some films, based on this funny cartoon.
4. Ben 10
The story of this cartoon starts when Ben, a 10-year-old kid finds an alien watch called “Omnitrix”. His nickname, Ben10 comes from the powers of his new gadget. The super-green-watch has a special function: the skills of different aliens. By selecting the “suit”, Ben is transforming in one of the aliens. “Four Arms” is his favorite option, this is a strong alien with four red arms.
5. Regular Show
Another cartoon that kept us awake in our childhood, as it was sometimes broadcast in the small hours. “Regular Show” (known as “Regular Show in Space” during its eight seasons) revolves around the lives of two working-class friends, a blue jay named Mordecai and a raccoon, Rigby, both employed as groundkeepers at a local park. They usually try to solve a simple problem that leads to an extreme (and often supernatural) misadventure. During these misadventures, they interact with the other main characters: Benson, Pops, Skips, Muscle Man, and Hi-Five Ghost.
There are only some of our favorite cartoons. Without them, our childhood wouldn`t have been the same. If you think some cartoons were better than the ones above though, we`re open to suggestions.
