Start your day with a RUN! Greatest 3 tips for beginners

Going out for a run can sometimes be perceived as rather tricky by those who are beginners. However, there is nothing that can’t be solved with a piece of advice. If you find yourself to be an entry-level runner, take a look at the following tips.

Find good shoes

As a runner myself, I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to find a nice pair of trainers. When exercising, comfort is everything. Your shoes shouldn’t be too heavy but instead, they should feel light on your feet. Therefore, my advice is to aim for shoes specifically made for that purpose, which means avoiding sneakers or any other similarly designed footwear. Be sure that they fit well by checking if there is one thumb space in front of your toe.

Warming up and stretching is important

It is widely known that warming up before a workout and stretching afterward shields the body from injury. Furthermore, on one hand, warming up will get your heart rate up, basically preparing you for physical activity. On the other hand, stretching will safely cool your body down. Thus, make sure you incorporate them into your routine. Not only will this help you perform better, but it will also reduce muscle soreness, which is especially important for beginners.

Start at a slow pace

A crucial mistake many beginners do is starting to run way faster than they are capable of and feel the consequences a couple of moments later. The only thing you will gain by showing-off your running skills is injury. So, begin with a pace that is comfortable for you and gradually increase it. Moreover, never compare yourself to the runners around you. Everyone has started from the bottom and worked their way up. Therefore, make yourself a favor and avoid stressing out your body unnecessarily.
In the end, running is all about making you feel good and exposing your body to workouts. So, let these tips for beginners encourage you to go for a run!
