Russia is a country with a large cultural background. It has a lot of history and it is a country through which you can broaden your horizons and learn new things. This country is very diverse: there are mountains, lakes, areas with cold weather, areas with warmer weather and so on.
Two of the biggest cities, Moscow and St. Petersburg, have impressive architecture, which shows the preservation of history and culture. With that being said, today I will present you 5 places you can travel to in Russia which I absolutely love.
1. Hermitage Museum (Эрмитаж)
After The Louvre from Paris, it is the second-largest art museum worldwide. It is a diverse museum from St. Petersburg, with lots of masterpieces. Every type of art is included in that museum, including Renaissance, Neoclassical, Impressionist art and more!
2. Peterhof Palace (Петергоф)
It is located outside St. Petersburg. There are more buildings in the area, but the one that stays continuously under the spotlight is the Grand Palace. There are huge gardens with big fountains near them and the castles are surrounded by art.
3. Red Square (Красная Плошадь)
This is one of the most important things to see in Moscow. You can’t go to Moscow and not visit the Red Square. There are many tourist attractions nearby, such as St. Basil’s Cathedral and the Kremlin.
4. Pushkin Museum (Государственный музей изобразительных искусств имени А. С. Пушкина)
This is a museum of fine arts from Moscow, which has lots of paintings by foreign artists and it is very diverse. It has many exhibitions and the architecture is remarkable! It is one of the best art museums worldwide and if you ever get to Moscow, you should definitely see it!
5. Bolshoi Theatre (Большой Театр)
This is a historic theatre from Moscow with incredible architecture. It has many opera and ballet performances and, as we know, they are one of the oldest and the most famous worldwide. It has been associated with Swan Lake, Tchaikovsky’s ballet.
So, once the pandemic is over, you should definitely travel to this wonderful country. There are many things you can visit and I guarantee that these attractions will remain in your mind forever!
