It’s no secret that president Donald Trump has a lot of haters. He has done many things throughout his life and political career that left people wondering, how is he still president? And how did he even become president in the first place? I actually think that it’s pretty impressive, how he is still in power and has so much supporters. After being openly and unapologetically racist, homophobic, misogynistic and sexist. And he still has so many supporters, its impressive, and sad. But having those supporters doesn’t mean that the rest of the county doesn’t see what he is doing. President Trump is particularly known for the way he views and talks about women.
I must confess that I personally looked into him after the whole “grab her by the …” scandal. I actually thought that it would have been unexpectable for the leader of a country to say something like that but it was only the beginning. And after all his history with women for him to cheerfully state that “the women they say don’t like me; they actually do like me a lot”. It is absolutely ridiculous and outrageous.
But what does Trump actually think about women?
You might think that as a woman you have hobbies and interests, but in reality, we all know that women don’t think. Or at least that’s what president trump said to ABC News’ Cecilia Vega. After calling on her for a question, Trump said, “She’s shocked that I picked her. Like in a state of shock.” Vega then responded, “I’m not, thank you, Mr. President.” And with a huge grin Trump replied, “That’s OK. I know you’re not thinking. You never do,”.
President Trump has numerous times abused his power and white cis man privilege, by verbally attacking and offending women who were interviewing him. When he felt threatened by a statement or a question, he would usually response with personal attacks. Trump is the perfect example of a misogynistic man with a superiority complex. In his perspective women are useful only as long as they are there for his sexual pleasure. He only “respects” women who is physically attracted to, and constantly body shames and over sexualizes them. All of these proven by numerous comments like “a person who is flat-chested is very hard to be a ten.” or “that must be a pretty picture you dropping on your knees”. So, is this why women like him?
What is the connection between dishwashers and women?
I can only imagine the pride that female Trump supporters feel. The dedication for this man that thinks that just because washing dishes is easier, women have to like him now. As well know washing dishes is a woman’s job and her only life concern is keeping the house clean. Right? These conservative views have always been the way he saw the world. On March 10th ,1994 he stated on an interview that “I don’t want to sound too much like a chauvinist, but when I come home and dinner is not ready, I’ll go through the roof”. Not only he expects to be served but he is also aggressive about it.
It’s not just the fact that he believes a woman’s job is only house-work, but he also doesn’t believe that women don’t have earn their places in society. He thinks that looks get them everything they want and if you are pretty your life is on easy mode. “You wouldn’t have your job if you weren’t beautiful it’s very sad” Said Trump as he was explaining to a reporter why beauty is important in beauty pageants.
Are women even able to “like him a lot”?
Yes, I am aware that President Trump has many female supporters. But regardless of the political views you follow, as a woman can you actually like him as a person? If he wasn’t the president would you want him in your life? Would a woman want someone who first of all, shames women for gaining weight, or eating too much “like a pig” but at the same time for being too flat?
President Trump views women as numbers on his hot scale and he is only pleased with them as long as they sleep with him, don’t get pregnant, because he doesn’t believe in abortion, and of Corse keep their mouth shut. And if you could look past that, could you also look past the disgusting, over sexualized way he talks about his own daughter?
- “Ivanka posing for Playboy would be really disappointing… not really. But it would depend on what was inside the magazine…I don’t think Ivanka would [do a nude shoot] inside the magazine, although she does have a very nice figure. I’ve said that if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
- “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father….”
- “Is it wrong to be more sexually attracted to your own daughter than your wife?”
And if you somehow look past the incestuous and predatory remarks, how about the actual rape allegations? By at least 25 women.
I think that this whole article proves that in fact, women do not like you a lot President Trump. It is not “FAKE NEWS”.
