Online education – 4 ways to keep yourself motivated to study

Online education and its problems: Have you already lost your mind over the mountains of assignments, projects, and essays? These are hard times, and online college seems to make them even harder. I, for one, have dealt with more problems recently.

Posture

In the last few weeks, my back has been killing me. We spend more and more time in front of our laptops, attending classes, doing the assignments, and even when we’re finished for the day, we are still in front of the screen, entertaining ourselves. It is important to stay at your desk and to have a proper chair for sustaining your back.

A good posture is not straightening your back. Stay relaxed, naturally, but keep in mind to stay at your desk and have back support. You can’t give your best if you wouldn’t take care of your body.

A place for studying during online education

I have learned these past few months that it is crucial to have a special place to study, attend your classes, or do your assignments. I used to stay in bed, on the couch, anywhere I would feel more comfortable. But I have learned the hard way that it is better to have a little corner where you can reserve all the university stress. I had bad dreams, and I got to a point where I could not rest properly because of the mental association of work and sleep due to online education.

It helped me to know what all my responsibilities were, even though they didn’t exist in my home. Customize your desk, find nice decorations, and you will not have nightmares.

Keep taking notes

Yes, yes, keep taking notes. Even if you have all the supplies you need, you need in a digital format, continue to put down the lecture. Handwriting helps you memorize better, and it is a suitable pause of the screen time. Use colors, stickers, put arrows, hearts, anything that will help you visualize your highlights.

Take care of yourself. 

I know it is comfortable to attend the class with your camera turned off, but prepare yourself for those classes. Brush your hair, brush your teeth, put on some nice and comfy clothes, and treat online classes more seriously. Your brain and body are not prepared to intake information after you have just woken up and took the laptop to your bed. Even if your colleagues don’t see you, online education can motivate you.

Following the advice from above, I reached the point where I could focus and concentrate on my online college work. Surely, back pain is sometimes inevitable, but it is important to take care of your mind and body.
