According to The Guardian, Robinson’s family declared using his social media account: ‘With tremendous sadness, we inform you of Michael’s death. It leaves us with a great emptiness, but also countless memories, full of the same love that you have shown him. We will be eternally grateful to you for making this man SO HAPPY, he never walked alone. Thank you.’
The former Liverpool star started his career with Preston North end in the second division. Then, he continued playing with Manchester City. He wasn’t seen as a good player so he was sold to Brighton & Hove Albion. However, he didn’t give up and came back as a strong and very talented football player. After his impact on 1982-1983 FA Cup Final, Liverpool bought him from Brighton. Robinson was part of the Liverpool squad that won a league, League Cup and European Cup in 1984.
