Massacre in the city of Uruapan, Mexico. According to the state prosecutor’s office, four people entered the recreation room and began firing with military weapons. At least four of the dead are minors between the ages of 12 and 17, the statement added. Nine people were shot, and investigators say the room is used by the Los Viagra gang. The gunmen are believed to belong to New Generation rival Jalisco’s cartel.

Uruapan is the second-largest city in the Mexican state of Michoacán and is located on the western edge of the Purépecha Mountains. It is situated just east of the Tierra Caliente region with a population of 315,350 inhabitants. The residents of Urupan continue to be affected by these atrocities. Last year the Jalisco New Generation cartel claimed 19 deaths following the massacre in Uruapan, Mexico.
