Loving yourself isn’t that hard

loving yourself isn't that hard

So, are we really starting this? If you’re reading this, it means you don’t love yourself and neither do I. Perhaps, I may sound like a total hypocrite, but loving yourself isn’t that hard. We can discover it together. So, join me!

I’m the type of person who’s always promoted self-love and self-care, even though I never take care of myself when I’m depressed, I just want others to be alright, but, meanwhile, I forget that I need to love myself too, not only brag about it to others.

So, why do we forget about ourselves?

Because we live with this constant fear of not being enough for the ones around us, but the truth is we are terrified of not being enough for ourselves. Guess I spilled the tea, huh?

How do you start loving yourself?

It’s a simple process, really. You just have to look around. Everything is made for you, that cup of tea you have in your hands, that hat you always wear when you go to the beach, the bookshelf that keeps all of your fantasies together. Everything’s yours, and it sounds like a cliché, I know, but you’re in charge of the power and you need to remind yourself that on a daily basis.

Do some things to remind yourself you’re enough

Start by crafting, or start writing, why not? Everything that makes you feel good is going to have a positive impact on your view over yourself. You start to do things, you do them better and better, and then, voilà, you start liking yourself a little bit more.

Surround yourself with good people

Forget about toxicity, that’s only good if it’s Toxicity from Sistem Of A Down! You should treat yourself to some nice human beings, the ones around you influence your feelings for yourself a lot. You can start loving yourself when you surround with great people because positivity (or realism) makes a change upon yourself, you become more confident and you learn how to properly socialize.

And you should end comparing yourself to others

This is going to lead you nowhere. Everyone’s unique and has their own mind and body, you just have to connect with others, not make them your enemies or competitors. Everyone has to learn to love themselves, you’re not the only one who’s fighting for it.

So, good luck! You can do it. Always remember, you’re good enough, don’t let others tell you otherwise.
