Fox Bussiness host, Lou Dobbs, who previously downplayed the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, is now in self-quarantine. He took the decision after one of the staff tested positive for the virus.
Fill-in host David Asman announced on Friday that: “ We just learned that one of his team members has tested positive for COVID-19.” He further explained that “ we fully support employee 100%, who we all wish a speedy recovery.”
Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott and President Jay Wallace, in a statement shared online by CNN’s Oliver Darcy, revealed that they told direct coworkers/team to self-quarantine for 14 days since last contact with the infected staff. They also wish the employee a “speedy recovery”.
Earlier this month, Lou Dobbs accused the “national keft-wing media” of instilling fear in the masses in an effort to cash the stock market. He also accused them of wanting to hurt the image of President Donald Trump, whom the host strongly defends on his show.
On Wednesday, he shared on Twitter a poll in which he asked viewers to rate Trump’s leadership in fighting off the virus. However, he only offered positive options such as “Superb”, “ Great” and “Very good”.
