Euphoria, one of the most influential things right now, right after Covid, manages to break some pretty impressive records in a pretty short time, thus making it the most famous subject of conversation for many of us teenagers. As predictable and generic as it may seem, this teen drama is, at least for the time being, one of the most hot topics of conversation.
Viewers already formed a sort of impression towards the characters and their overall interactions, making all sorts of mix and matches between them, but nothing was as flawless as the relation between Euphoria’s character Fezco, played by Angus Cloud, and Lexi, played by Maude Apatow.
The viewers are literally in tears after the last episodes, in which their relationship is starting to evolve, becoming more and more dependent one on another, attached by simple things, aspect well-shown through a scene with the two of them humming to “Stand by me”, by Ben E. King, which the audience completely turned into an iconic moment of their relationship, even bringing some tears for some of us more emotional.
But the question remains: What do the actors have to say about this? Is it all like in the series?
-Yes and No.
As it was recently stated by Apatow herself, the idea between them is something that she is able to go along with, but admitted that she was not expecting that big of a reaction from the audience, but overall claiming herself as a fan of this idea.
Fexi, as most of us already call it, was, as far as Apatow claims, a thing that showed up from nowhere, but everyone seemed to go along with quite naturally, easily turning it in one of the sweetest television moments that one had ever experienced from their couch.
“Once we started talking about it, it totally made sense.”, she added
The actress Maude Apatow also stated that the general view towards fans making drawings and video edits of them two together was a “nice” thing, further describing it as “crazy” in relation to people’s efforts of making the most “dramatic” and “caring” edits between the two.
It totally makes sense, looking back at the public’s reaction, for Fexi to be a standing thing in HBO’s Euphoria.
The actress also added that after the literal chaos that happened throughout the series, the few moments with Lexi and Fezco are seen by the average user as a refresher, at the same time making all of us want more of them two, aspect which is totally expected if we look back at the rest of what the actress added:
“But I love working with Angus. I think Angus is such a great actor, and we just have so much fun working together. So for selfish reasons, I hope we get to do more scenes together because it’s fun. He’s just a great partner. He’s so present and talented, and yeah, I just love working with him, so I totally would love to keep working with him.”
