“Frankly, this is the final straw. Tesla will now move its HQ and future programs to Texas/Nevada immediately. If we even retain Fremont’s manufacturing activity at all, it will be dependent on how Tesla is treated in the future. Tesla is the last carmaker left in CA.” These were the words of Elon Musk on Twitter.
In his post, Musk highlighted the Tesla experience in China. His factory resumed operations in the country after the Chinese government brought the COVID-19 pandemic under control and took down some restrictions. Therefore, many businesses began opening, and so did Tesla.
He also wrote that he would “immediately” sue Alameda County near San Francisco, where the factory is located. He accused authorities of being “irrational and out of touch with reality.
