Do you want to become a better student? To ace your studies? Studying is something all of us have to do regardless if we like it or not. The thing is, little to no people know how to study effectively. What is more important is that there are a few tips out there that people have in order to help students have better results.

Therefore, I will try to present you a few of them:

  1. The Pomodoro Method

This method is supposed to help you have a few intervals of high focus time with frequent breaks. It proved to be highly effective with a lot of students. The most common time interval is 25 minutes of studying with 5 minutes of break, followed by a 10-15 minute break after 4 full sessions.

One argument against this would be the fact that some people become so immersed in their work that once they start it becomes harder for them to relax so suddenly so it is better for them to keep studying for longer periods of time.

  1. Forest

Studying with Forest is amazing. Forest is a tree-planting app that doesn’t allow you to leave the lockscreen in order to stop you from procrastinating. It works by appealing to your emotional side, hoping that you would not want to kill a poor tree just to answer some random DM on Instagram. You can also plant with your friends by creating or joining a room and being productive together.

The iOS version is not free, but there is another app that works just the same, called Plantie.

  1. Join live Study with me’s on Youtube

There are a lot, and I really mean it, of Youtubers that enjoy making lengthy videos of them studying with or without music, with or without breaks, with a lot of themes. Some of my favourites are Ruby Granger, Merve, gutsy studygirl and Study Vibes.

I promise you that once you start studying with them, you won’t be able to stop and your grades will thank you for it.
