A luxury brand is a limited edition brand. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of the brand in races, Bentley decided, in addition to the EXP 100GT – which won various prizes for innovation, to create a street model, a sports car in a super limited edition. The limited-edition comes from the interior finish, made from old fallen trees, preserved for 5,000 years. This car will be called “Bentley Mulliner Bacalar”.
What is Bentley?
Bentley Motors Limited is an old British car brand, founded in 1919, by Walter Owen Bentley. The company has its headquarters in Crewe, UK.
What means “Mulliner” and what is used for?
As one brand stands by name, any limited edition sports car was labeled “Mulliner”. Bentley considers the word an original label of a special series from all points of view. The first “Mulliner” was made in 1595, a postal carriage, created by F. Mulliner. Ever since 1870, when Robert Bouverie Mulliner, Francisco’s son named the company “Mulliner London Limited”, the “Mulliner” was associated with luxury and sportiness.
Bacalar, a new era for Bentley cars!
The Bacalar draws on design DNA from EXP 100GT. The creators of the car say it’s their most dynamic car, being a Grand Tourer with 2 seats, and especially with more aerodynamic wheels of 22 inches.
The specialty of this car:
As I said in the beginning of the article, Bentley Mulliner Bacalar will be in a very limited edition and only 12 cars will be produced. What makes them so special? The wood… the interior will be made of old fallen trees, about 5,000 years old. The modern luxury of the car is given by the embroidery of the leather, a label of the special editions of Bentley, being a “gift” for the customer and even the trend of modern classic. But that is not the only interesting thing about this car; the color shades are outstanding too: the green “Clerkenwell”, the blue “Menlo”, matte gray “Greenwich” and the “yellow flame”.

What’s my opinion about the car?
Well, a special car needs a special customer. So a car with those specs will have a bespoke price, around 2-3 million GBP. In other words, it’s a good investment for the future, because like all limited edition cars, the value will grow very much, up to 10 million GBP maybe. For me, that car is a futuristic personality of Bentley, “a new era” for the brand. “Bentley is a Bentley” and that’s right, this car, in my vision, will be a “most wanted”, and that is a good thing because people will want a similar car. And a few similar cars are Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur. Bentley is Bentley, not the cheap variant for Rolls Royce.
