As skincare routines have become a lot more popular over the last couple of year, so have face masks. Nowadays, you can find masks that are suited for all skin types and that target all kinds of skin problems, not to mention they come in a lot of different options like sheet masks, peel-offs or clay masks.
With so many options on the market, it can be difficult to choose something suited to your skin type, especially if you’re looking for some more affordable options. Although DIY masks can be a great budget-friendly option, they’re not always as efficient as store bought masks, and not everyone has time to make them. Here, I’ve come up with a list of efficient, budget friendly face masks for oily skin that you can find at Sephora and that you’re sure to love:
1. Salicylic Acid 2% Masque – The Ordinary
The Ordinary’s Salicylic Acid 2% Masque is perhaps my favorite face mask of all. What I love about this brand is that asides from being very budget-friendly, all of their products are incredibly efficient.
I would say this masque is somewhat similar to a clay mask, except that it has a thinner consistency. You’re supposed to apply a thin layer all over your face and wash it off with warm water after it dries, and it leaves your face feeling extremely smooth and exfoliated. I’ve noticed that my complexion has begun clearing up considerably since I’ve begun to use it weekly, and one small tube has lasted me about 8 uses.
2. Spirulina face mask stick – Sephora Collection
Sephora Collection is known for their affordable skincare and makeup products, and over the last few years their mask range – which was already pretty impressive to begin with – has widened even more, and they now offer all kinds of masks for all skin types.
One of my favorite Sephora Collection masks is the Spirulina mask stick. What I love about it is the fact that it’s extremely easy to apply and only takes 5 minutes to work. The packaging says it will last you 15 uses, but I’ve used mine about twice as many times.
The stick mask comes in 4 different versions, and although I’ve only used the spirulina one thus far, the exfoliating charcoal mask and the mattifying bamboo mask also seem like they would work well for someone with oily skin.
3. Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay – Origins
Origins is one of my favorite skincare brands, and although it has a higher price range than the rest of the brands I’ve included in this list, all of their products are well worth the money.
One of their more affordable products is the Rose Clay Retexturizing Mask, which you can also buy in a mini size. I used the mini size about 6 times, and what I love about this mask is that it leaves my skin glowing and feeling deeply cleansed. The mask also has exfoliating particles in it, and I think it’s a nice touch since it also gently scrubs your skin when you wash it off.
4. The Charcoal Mask – Sephora Collection
Another one of my favorite Sephora Collection masks is the Charcoal Mask. Unlike the rest of the masks on this list, the Charcoal Mask is a sheet mask. It leaves your face feeling smooth and glowing, and the serum it’s soaked in also hydrates the skin without being too clogging – which makes it perfect for oily skin. It’s my favorite mask for when I want to have a self-care day since I can keep it on for longer and it has that nice, cooling sensation that you usually get with sheet masks.
