I’ve been a fan of Disney Channel ever since I’ve discovered it on my TV and I will never forget the animations and the TV shows that were broadcasted on this channel. Last time, I’ve talked about some of my favourite TV shows which existed during my childhood. But I didn’t talk about the old animations which were truly masterpieces as well.
Here is the list of 5 amazing Disney Channel animations which made my childhood better:
1. Kim Possible
I’ll start this list with my first favourite animation, Kim Possible. I loved this TV show! A simple girl, who is trying to have an ordinary life, fights with evil people in order to save the world, together with her best friend, Ron Stoppable and his naked mole rat, Rufus.
I liked the idea of a feminine hero and how easily she succeeded to complete each mission. And her friend, was also so hilarious, especially when he was trying to help her, but ended up injuring himself. In the end, she decides to be in a relationship with her sidekick, Ron, and both will graduate high school, this being the last episode of the animated series.
Another thing that I really liked about this animation was the theme song. I was obsessed! It was really catchy and I remember I was trying to watch the episodes from the beginning to listen to the song.
2. Phineas and Ferb
I can’t forget about this masterpiece, everyone in my school liked it. My brother and I always woke up in the morning to watch this animation. Even though the characters looked weird and the idea of this TV series was almost impossible, that was the whole beauty of it.
Two brothers, Phineas Flynn and Ferb Fletcher spend their summer vacation in the backyard of their house to make some marvellous inventions with which they can have fun along with their friends. Meanwhile, their older sister, Candace is trying every day to bust them, unfortunately, without success.
The animation has two stories, the other one being the double life of their pet, Perry the Platypus. For Phineas, Ferb or other members of the family, and even for their friends, he is just a simple pet, who “doesn’t do much”, but when he’s left alone, Perry becomes a secret agent who defeats Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, a mad villain, who has some weird inventions.
The funny and unforgettable lines, the plot of the story, everything from this animation has something that will never get you bored, even if you rewatch the episodes.
3. The Emperor’s New School
Another funny animation series that I know, is The Emperor’s New School, which never failed to make me laugh. I felt so bad when it ended because the animation didn’t have many episodes and it ended too quickly.
The Emperor’s New School shows an adolescent emperor, named Kuzco, who didn’t graduate from the Academy and therefore, he will not be able to rule and stay in the palace until he passes his final exam. Unfortunately, he is a lazy person and a troublemaker, and because of this, he is in danger of losing the throne. And besides that, the evil character, Yzma, tries to steal his palace, using different magic potions.
The chaotic adventures of this character were really entertaining, they made me laugh, and thus the animation become one of my favourites. However, I’m not so sure if many people still remember him…
4. Fish Hooks
This animation isn’t as old as the other three, but I still enjoyed it, even though it was for a short time. The episodes, on the other hand, were a bit weird… If Phineas and Ferb seemed a bit odd to me, the episodes of Fish Hooks were on another level. Basically, this TV series was a mix of 2D animation scenes and photo collages. Maybe that’s why some of the episodes were a bit scary for me.
The animation shows the adventures of three fish friends who are living in a fish tank of a pet store. Together, Bea, Milo and Oscar experience their lives like any ordinary human, going to school and having fun with other friends, but at the same time, they have to face so many challenging events which will bring the funny side of this TV series.
There are so many other animations that have appeared on Disney Channel, but these four have been the most memorable for me. I will try to rewatch the other ones, in order to give another list of the amazing animations of my childhood.
