5 Best Sweet-Smelling Perfumes

When it comes to perfumes, I always tend to gravitate towards the really sweet ones. Whereas most people like fresh smells, I know there are others out there who prefer to smell like a candy shop. If this description applies to you, then you have come to the right place. Here are 5 of my all-time favorite sweet-smelling perfumes.

Disclaimer: some of these are quite pricey, but if you really like them and you want to treat yourself, they are totally worth it!

  • Prada Candy

Key Notes: White Musk, Benzoin, Caramel Accord

For this one, the same says it all. This is a very warm, feminine, yet sophisticated scent. This luxurious smell became my favorite perfume from the first time I tried it a few years ago. However, I also think it is one of the sweetest scents I’ve ever tried, so if you’re not a fan of the really sweet smells, this might not be your cup of tea.

It is also incredibly persistent on clothes. The kind of scent that can overpower a room but will also bring you a lot of compliments and turn lots of heads.

  • Zara Gardenia

Notes: Orange Blossom, Coffee, and Vanilla.

If you’re a fan of the very popular, yet very pricey YSL Black Opium, you will love this incredibly affordable perfume. An amazingly seductive and feminine smell, Gardenia is a Spring’s day in a bottle! It works both as a night and day scent and it is very persistent throughout the day.

Gardenia is also a warm scent. Even though it smells like a blooming garden, I think it best suits the cold season, especially winter.

  • Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire

Notes: Sour Cherry, Almond, Red Berries, and Bergamot

This particular perfume reminds me of baby powder – but a very elegant kind of baby powder. Not only is the scent very chic and feminine, but the bottle is equally beautiful. Definitely eye candy to place on the vanity” The vintage/antique design of the bottle mixed with the powdery sweet smell makes this a very unique piece in anyone’s collection.

  • Guerlain Insolence

Notes: Berries, Violet, Orange Blossom, Iris

To be honest, this is a very hate it or love it perfume as it could be traced back to something your grandma would wear. However, I personally think it is an absolutely beautiful scent. This one is also a very powdery perfume, and though it does smell relatively similar to the previously mentioned one, Insolence is way more intense and overpowering. Given that it’s a stronger smell, it is also more persistent, and it pairs incredibly well with a night out on the town or even a black-tie event.

  • Issey Miyake Pleats Please

Notes: Violet, Macarons, Sweet Pea, Peony, Patchouli, and Vanilla

Last but not least, if you’re a sweet perfume lover, but you don’t enjoy overbearingly sweet perfumes, this one’s for you! This perfume has a fresher undertone than the other ones as the flowery notes make it more of a daytime scent. Though it is a sweet perfume, it pairs well with the warmer seasons which makes it a perfect fragrance for Spring. It is not an overbearing perfume, but it is very feminine and delicate.

These are just some of my personal favorites, but one thing I can assure you of: any of these will bring you lots of compliments! Some of them are quite pricey, but if you’re willing to overlook that aspect, their quality is something to ride home about. And if you’re a sweet perfume lover, one of these is sure to make a great impression on you!
