5 new TV shows to watch this fall


Now that the “back to school” season is coming up, you might need a distraction from your daily routine. So, after a long day of classes, grab a cup of tea and relax while watching these new TV shows.

1) Raised by Wolves (HBO Max, premiered September 3rd)

This American Sci-Fi drama is set in a post-apocalyptic world, as an android architect sends two of his inventions on the planet Kepler-22b in order to colonize it. Even so, their peace is disturbed by the arrival of a ship with surviving humans, coming from the destroyed Earth.


2) The Last Narc (Amazon Prime, premiered July 31st)

If you enjoyed watching Narcos, this new mini-series will take you further into the real story of American DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena. In 1985 he was kidnapped and murdered by Mexico’s most notorious drug cartel, whose insiders lived to tell Camarena’s story.


3) Flower of Evil (TVN, premiered July 29th)

A hard-working husband and father hides a dark, secret past. Meanwhile, his wife, a homicide detective, tries to solve a gruesome case and hunt down the psychopathic killer. What she doesn’t know is that the truth might be closer than she thinks…


4) Cursed (Netflix, premiered July 17th)

In this reinterpretation of the legend of King Arthur, Nimue, a teenager sorceress, wishes to fulfill her mother’s dying wish by finding the ancient sword, Excalibur, and deliver it to Merlin, the powerful wizard. In her quest, she is accompanied by a young mercenary named Arthur, the two being united by the same goal.

5) Down to Earth with Zac Efron (Netflix, premiered July 10th)

We all knew him as the teenage basketball player and singer, Troy Bolton in Disney’s “High School Musical” or later on in the raunchy comedy “Dirty Grandpa“. This time, Efron takes us around the world along a wellness expert, to promote a sustainable, environment-friendly way of living.


As most of us will be spending more time indoors, I hope these recommendations are useful for those of you looking for some new TV shows to binge-watch.
