5 epic things to do when you are bored: academic edition

Even if you are a productive person, you still get bored at some point and it seems like there is nothing to do. Thank God I am here with a solution that might help you. Here are:

Things to do when you are bored:

1.Write essays/ poetry/ prose

Though I am not sure about other people, for me writing can be very stress-relieving. And it also gives me a sense of control, because I decide what happens next in a story and there is no anxiety. I don’t write only when I’m bored, but this is a great activity if you have nothing to do.

2. Research

If you are passionate about a specific subject, you can do some research about it and learn new facts. Because knowledge is never enough. 🙂

Bonus points if you forget you were bored while studying, and end up reading for hours.

3. Perform a play to somebody (or alone)

Get ready kitten, we’re putting on a show tonight!

Cats, apart from their god complex, are really fun and lovely. They can always have a role in your play or serve as spectators; they won’t pay attention anyway, but it is better than being alone.

4. Read the classics

Of course, modern literature is fantastic and full of deeper meanings, but nothing compares to the classics. Brontë, Jane Austen, Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde and many others.

5. Make some coffee and drink it while thinking about the future

I know I can’t be the only person who romanticizes everything, especially when they are bored. Maladaptive daydreaming is my best friend whenever I’m drinking caffeine. While drinking, I either make up fake scenarios or I think about the vague future which awaits – so unclear and yet so frightening.
