4 fiction books worth reading

I am a book lover since I can barely remember and I have a lot of books in my library that are worth talking about. I read all types of categories, from love- poems to fiction, psychology, crime novels, and science. Therefore, I decided to tell you about my 4 top fiction books that are worth reading and which I would read over again.

  1. Daughter of Smoke and Bone – Laini Taylor (series)

This is a series that comprises three books: the first one is Daughter of Smoke and Bone, the second one is Days of Blood & Starlight and the third one is Dreams of Gods & Monsters. This is one of the first books I read when I started being obsessed with books and to this day I remember every single detail from this series.

In my opinion, the writer has a different style from others and unique ideas that created a distinctive story. To be more specific, I suppose some of the book creators are “ borrow “ ideas and few details from one another and in the final, the books seem to have the same scheme but written differently. With this book things are contrasting: I read a lot of fiction books and I have never encountered this type of story in any of them. I don’t want to give any spoilers, however,  unfortunately, this series of books is very little known to the public, so I suggest you give them a try and see by yourself how amazing these books really are.

  1. Three Dark Crown -Kendare Blake ( series )

This is a series that comprises four books: the first one is Three Dark Crowns, the second one is One Dark Throne, the third one is Two Dark Reigns and the fourth one is Five Dark Fates. This series of books gives you a lot of mixed feelings, some of them are good, some of them are bad, and sometimes you will come to cry to this series because the plot is staggering and actually if you want to look beyond the fiction story, it can be a lesson in life to not let other people or laws to turn people against each other.

“No one really wishes to be a queen.”

I am actually at the last volume of the book and I can’t wait to find out how the series ends. I will probably come back to tell you if my opinion on this series changed due to the last volume of the series, but I doubt this will happen.

  1. Starters – Lissa Price ( series )

This is a series that comprises two books: Starters and Enders. Looking at these books nowadays gave me chills because it could be a near-future of our real lives.

The books observe a story about war and survival, focused mainly on teenagers. A war is about to begin and only the vaccinated will survive, sounds familiar until now, right? The funny thing is that this book was written 9 years ago. I personally read it 2 years after it was published, but definitely, if I read it now for the first time, I would have a lot of goosebumps.

This book also has a lot of artificial technology in it, which at some point it goes crazy ( unexpected, right?), and another disturbing thing about this book is the robotics that is infiltrating through people. How is that similar to real life? Well, I think we all know about the new Elon Musk’s new robot woman that he wants to bring to life and in the book, it is also happening something like that

I will let you find the rest of the book and make a comparison between this book and our real life.

  1. Red Queen – Victoria Aveyard ( series )

This series is very popular so that’s why I left it at the end because I have a lot to say about it.

It has 4 books: the first one is Red Queen, the second one is Glass Sword, the third one is King’s Cage, and the last one is War Storm. Now. If you have heard of this book, you know by now that this book comes with a lot of controversies; there are some people who like this series and some people who actually hate this one.

I like to put myself in the middle, and I am going to explain why: the plot of the series is exceptional, hands down for the ideas and the story, from the first chapter to the last it kept me in suspense, for this part I would re-read this series again and again, but, and there is a big but, in my opinion, this series it could have been perfect if the author had constructed the characters differently, in particular, one of the main characters: Mare.

At the beginning of the series, more specifically in the first book, I liked her, but from the second book, my opinion has changed. Personally, I didn’t like how this character was created and her way of thinking / acting thru the evolution of the books. I think the book would have been much better if this character hadn’t been so temperamental. But ignoring this, the book is a must to read for the innovative ideas that created this exceptional storyline.

I hope you will enjoy my go-to 4 fiction books and I hope you will choose at least one book from here to read, it will be worth it, I promise.
