Recently I’ve decided to rewatch one of my favourite American Youtubers, Rydel Funk. I like her content because she has a variety of videos about almost everything, including food recipes: cookies, cakes, milkshakes and so on.
Rydel Funk is a former member of the band R5, but right now, she is helping her brothers on tours by playing keyboards. Meanwhile, she works on a Youtube Channel, where she posts different kinds of videos to entertain her audience. I’ve been watching her since the first video and when I saw that she also gives us recipes for different dishes and delicious desserts, I couldn’t help but try some of her famous recipes.
The recipes she is proud of are called Rydel’s Famous Milkshakes, and here I will show you three of her best milkshakes.
1. White Chocolate Oreo Milkshake
Ingredients:
- Golden Oreos
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Whole Milk
Optional:
- Whipped Cream
- Sprinkles
Instructions:
Put three big scoops of ice cream into the blender.
Take six Oreos and put them in a bowl. Take half a cup of whole milk and pour it over the Oreo cookies to soak them a little. (If you prefer crunchy milkshakes, you don’t need to pour the milk over the cookies.)
Once the cookies are soaked up, put them in the blender and blend everything together.
After everything is mixed good enough, pour the milkshake into your favourite glass. You can also decorate it with whipped cream and sprinkles if you want.
Put a straw and enjoy it!
2. Cherry Valentine Milkshake
Ingredients:
- Maraschino Cherries (or any kind of cherries that has juice)
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Whole Milk
Optional:
- Whipped Cream
- Sprinkles
- Candy Hearts
Instructions:
Put three big scoops of ice cream into the blender.
Take half a cup of whole milk and pour it over the ice cream.
Take the juice from the cherries and put three tablespoons of cherry juice.
Blend it until it becomes pink, then pour it into the glass.
Decorate it as you like. (Rydel’s note: you can put a cherry on top, to look it fancier).
3. Cookie Butter Milkshake
Ingredients:
- Cookie Butter
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Whole Milk
Optional:
- Whipped Cream
- Sprinkles
- Cookie crumbs
Ingredients for homemade cookie butter:
- 3/4 cups of cookie crumbs
- 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon of water
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons of golden syrup (if you don’t find golden syrup, you can use maple syrup, molasses or plain corn syrup)
- 1/2 cup of refined coconut oil (solid but not cold, between 21 and 23°C)
Instructions for homemade cookie butter:
Combine cookie crumbs, water, cinnamon and golden syrup in a stainless steel and cook it over medium heat. Whisk constantly, until crumbs have dissolved and the mixture feels smooth.
Remove from heat and transfer to a tall, narrow container, stirring occasionally until the steam subsides.
Add solid coconut oil and process with an immersion blender until it becomes homogeneous and smooth.
Put the mixture in a glass jar, seal to prevent moisture loss and refrigerate to re-solidify the coconut oil.
Instructions for cookie butter milkshake:
Put three big scoops of ice cream into the blender.
Take half a cup of whole milk and pour it over the ice cream.
Put a fourth cup of butter cookies and blend it.
Pour it into a glass and decorate it if you want with whipped cream, sprinkles or cookie crumbs.
These are her three famous milkshakes which I’ve also tried and I can guarantee that they are absolutely delicious. They are easy to make and it doesn’t take you too much time. You can always check some other recipes on her Youtube Channel as well!
