Movie Theme Songs

I think we can all agree that the 2000s were filled with bops that will forever live in our hearts. Some of these bops are actually movie theme songs from legendary movies that we have fallen in love with over and over again.

Movie Theme Songs:

1.Hedwig’s Theme (Harry Potter)

You don’t even have to be a fan of the Harry Potter film series to know this theme song. It’s an enchanting song that exudes magic and mystery, being the perfect match for the wizardly world.

2.He’s a Pirate (Pirates of the Caribbean)

Just like Hedwig’s Theme, this song is also so iconic that you’ll know it even if you never watched any of the Pirates of the Caribbean films. However, I strongly recommend watching this film series, they are just as awesome and epic as the theme song trust me.

3.All Star (Shrek)

Now here’s a funny one. This song has become a meme lately but you still can’t deny that Smash Mouth really hit the spot with this one.

4.Breaking Free (High School Musical)

Ah yes, the childhood musical that changed our lives forever. You may think I’m exaggerating but the whole soundtrack of this movie is so catchy that even years later these songs are stuck in my head. Just check out the theme song and you’ll get what I’m saying.

5.The Fellowship (Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring)

This one hits close to home, for me, and thousands of other fans of the three epic fantasy films Lord of the Rings. This theme song does a great job of transporting you to Tolkien’s Middle-earth.

6.Now We Are Free (Gladiator)

This masterpiece is one of the most epic theme songs out there, fitting perfectly with the legendary historical film Gladiator.

7.Lose Yourself (8 Mile)

Let’s be honest, we all tried memorizing the lyrics of this song and rap as fast as Eminem in our rooms when this song came out. It’s one of Eminem’s best songs, being also the first hip hop song to receive the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

8.Requiem for a Dream (Requiem for a Dream)

This amazing theme song sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it. The sound of the string quartet will definitely give you goosebumps, as the song is both mournful and fervent.

9.Jai Ho (Slumdog Millionaire)

This amazing song is not just a catchy bop but has also won an Academy Award for Best Original song and it has received universally favorable reviews from music critics.

10.Mamma Mia (Mamma Mia!)

This list wouldn’t be complete without this amazing song by ABBA that is also the theme song for the jukebox musical film Mamma Mia!
